Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) Chief Executive Officer, Khalid Al Sulaiteen, launched a community inspired portal ‘Life in Aspire’ on Saturday during a ceremony attended by senior AZF and other Qatari dignitaries.
The website located at www.lifeinaspire.qa was created in conjunction with the ‘Life in Aspire’ initiative and will serve as a community portal to the Aspire Zone. It comprises information about Aspire’s various activities and includes a daily guide, fitness tips, a family page and a biweekly newsletter.
Commenting on the importance of the initiative Al Sulaiteen said: “’Life in Aspire’ highlights our commitment to community service by creating the ultimate family-friendly sports and leisure destination. It also further demonstrates Aspire’s overarching mission to create a healthy population in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.”
“The new ‘Life in Aspire’ website further contributes to our mission of engaging Qatar’s community in healthy living through sport,” he added.
Engineer Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Meer, Acting Director General of Aspire Logistics, said: “AZF is making every effort to implement a range of programmes and initiatives to diversify its target audience and renew the means by which it engages with the public.
“We also aim, through the integrated action plans of these programs, to address various challenges including seasonal temperature variations, cultural and behavioural patterns that affect an active lifestyle, as well as the creation of a positive community sports climate conducive to all members of society,” he added.
Nasser Abdullah Al Hajry, Corporate Communications Manager at AZF, said: “The ‘Life in Aspire’ portal is a significant step towards the establishment of a healthy community to provide Qatar’s population with direct access to a comprehensive guide of Aspire’s individual and family events and activities.”
