•    Some people say schools’ annual vacation this year will be during Ramadan, therefore the authorities may need to make plans to mitigate traffic jams after Iftar.
•    There are demands for fish to be auctioned according to the traditional ‘Min’ system, in lots of four to 16 kilos, instead of selling whole containers, on which fishermen lose money while retailers earn big profits.
•    There are complaints against truck drivers who drive at up to 120 kilometres per hour on Abu Samra road and slow down only when they approach a radar.
•    Some drivers, particularly of taxis, wait for a long time blocking the lane in front of commercial centres on Salwa Road, and people say this confuses other drivers, reduces parking space and even leads to accidents.
•    As awareness about the importance of sports is rising among nationals and expatriates, the authorities may need to provide all public parks with sports equipment, as they have done at Aspire Park and the Corniche.
•    There is talk about the deadline for handing over the Furjan markets in July, even though work on providing water and power connections is still going on there.
•    With the second phase of the health insurance scheme starting, private hospitals are facing pressure because of their lack of space, including waiting rooms for patients and visitors.
•    There are demands that those in charge of public relations and communications, and receptionists in government and other institutions be trained in the art of communication so that they do their job properly.
