DOHA: The Minister of Youth and Sports HE Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali paid a visit to Al Sailiyah Sports Club on Wednesday evening. Club President Abdullah Al Aidah welcomed the minister to the club. The Minister of Youth and Sports was keen to inspect the club’s facilities, officials said.
The Minister was also keen to attend the junior and grassroots football teams’ training sessions in the presence of the Club President and General Secretary Jaber Al-Marri. The Minister met with the players of both junior and grassroots football teams and assured them that they are the future of the Qatari sports and he praised the huge attention by the club board towards all age categories. At the end of the visit, the Al Sailiya Sports Club shield was presented to the Minister. THE PENINSULA
DOHA: El Jaish Sports Club has approved the renewal of the loaning of Mahmoud Saad to Al Kharaitiyat for one extra season, Saad currently is signed to El Jaish until 2018.
Mahmoud Saad participated heavily with Al Kharaitiyat this season in plenty of matches as he was one of their key players.
Al Kharaitiyat is seeking to finalize their deals early before the beginning of the new season which is expected to be tough and strong. The squad will convene their external training camp in Slovenia this summer. THE PENINSULA
DOHA: The Qatar Stars League (QSL) has awarded the winner of the Qatar Cup final official Instagram competition at Al Bidda tower, the home of Qatari football.
The winner, Eissa Rashed Al Khalifa with his Instagram account @mib_0007 who rightly guessed the winner of the final match of the Qatar Cup. He received a signed replica Lekhwiya shirt as well as a miniature Qatar Cup trophy. THE PENINSULA
