QNB has recognised the success of employees who have recently completed the English Language Skills Development Programme at a graduation ceremony hosted by the Human Capital Division at the QNB Al Mathaf Building.
Thirty two QNB staff from a wide range of divisions including Retail, Trade Finance, Communications, Strategy, and Operations, participated in the programme, all completing seven weeks of intense training.
English skills are an essential asset in the QNB employee’s skill-set, and the group operates an English Language Skills Development Programme comprised of four levels of instruction, each benchmarked against international standards across all four language skills. The programme develops employees’ functional language skills, enabling them to communicate across the bank’s international network, and become ambassadors for QNB in all their working interactions.
The range of topics covered on the programme are all related to QNB business, with modules including Professional Communications, Team Work, Leadership, Successful Meetings, Customer Service and Telephoning. Employees’ skills are measured using precise language diagnostics that allow trainers to target specific areas of difficulty on an individual basis. The programme also features integrated use of technology to enhance learning, including the provision of a supportive online learning environment.
