Facebook Messenger will no longer be available on Apple Watch app after May 31, 2023, stated parent company, Meta. Users will be able to view messages but replying to them from the Apple Watch will not be an option by the end of this month.
According to media reports and various posts shared on social media, a notification was sent to some users recently informing them of this update.
Reviewgeek quoted a Meta statement saying, “People can still receive Messenger notifications on their Apple Watch when paired, but starting at the end of May they will no longer be able to respond from their watch. But they can continue using Messenger on their iPhone, desktop and the web.”
Meta did not give a reason as to why it was pulling the service from Apple Watch, which was introduced in 2015.
