Djibouti: The President of Djibouti, Omar Guelleh, met yesterday the outgoing Qatari Ambassador, Ali bin Mubarak Al Muhannadi.
The envoy was presented with the Order of Unity in recognition of his outstanding efforts during his tenure.
Ambassador Al Muhannadi conveyed greetings of the Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the Heir Apparent H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the president.
President Guelleh asked the ambassador to convey his greetings to the Emir and the Heir Apparent, and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the government and people of Qatar.
He also wished the ambassador success in his future assignments.
Khaleda Zia meets Qatari envoy
Dhaka: Begum Khaleda Zia, leader of the opposition in parliament, leader of the National Party and former prime minister of Bangladesh, yesterday met Qatar’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Abdurrahman Youssef Abdurrahman Al Mullah whose term has expired.
They reviewed relations between both countries and ways to develop them.
They also exchanged views on issues of mutual concern that serve the interests of the people of both countries.
