Rota announces theme for Gala Dinner this year

DOHA: Reach Out To Asia (Rota) is organising its fifth Gala Dinner this year under the theme “Plant a Book, Harvest the Future“.

Building on the successful previous four editions of this event, the forthcoming Gala Dinner is set to comprehensively display what the organisation is all about and demonstrate the local and international community connections that Rota fostered during the past few years. 

Stressing on the importance of the theme, Rota Executive Director, Essa Al Mannai pointed out that since the establishment of Rota in 2005, the organisation’s vision has always been focused on supporting primary and secondary education. 

“This comes from our belief that education is the key ingredient for humanitarian prosperity and human dignity which starts from knowledge,” said Al Mannai. 

“As a primary fundraiser for Rota, an auction will be the core component of the Gala Dinner 2013, complemented by a mix of entertainment and inspiring speeches. The theme “Plant a Book, Harvest the Future” will be highlighted throughout the event. In addition, the event will provide an opportunity for Rota to share the achievements that it has accomplished, thanks to the funds raised during previous gala dinners,” he added.

Qatar Petroleum (QP) is once again demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility as the exclusive Silver Sponsor of this year’s Gala Dinner.
