Hyderabad: A railway police official foiled a train robbery in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh early yesterday. Railway Protection Force sub-inspector Shaik Ibrahim fired two rounds from his service pistol at robbers hiding in the dark near the Coimbatore-Mumbai LTT Kurla Express, which had stopped after the alarm chain was pulled, forcing them to flee. The robbers had pelted stones at Ibrahim and his team after they got down from the train to investigate.
