Qatar athletics team to compete at the World Paralympic Championships

Doha:  Qatar  athletes with special needs  will participate in the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Athletics Championships, which starts today in the French city of Lyon.

The Qatari mission is headed by Mohamed Duhaim Al Dossari, member of the board of directors of Qatar Sports Federation for people with special needs, which also includes  Mohammed Suhail, technical manager, players’ Abdurrahman Abdul Qadir and Sarah Hamdi, as well as  coaches Ahsan Abu Thaljah, Al Waleed Maghmoul and Anis Abu Ghamourah.

Al Dossari said he hopes the athletes will excel in the championships, which is held every two years. One thousand athletes from different world continents are set to take part.

The championships will end on July 30. 

The 2015 edition will take place in Qatar, the first time it will be held in an Arab country. QNA
