Doha: Former Chelsea ace Gianfranco Zola took over as the new coach of Qatar Stars League club Al Arabi on Monday.
The Italian succeeded Uruguayan Daniel Carreno, who left the Reds to become the coach of the Qatar national team in May.
As a player, Zola was known for his creative and attacking prowess. He previously managed English Premier League side West Ham United, Italy Under-16 team, Watford and Cagliari. (QNA)
