Rome: AC Milan announced Monday the signing of Croatian star Luka Modric for one season, following the end of his career with Real Madrid.
The club said in a statement on its official website that Modric, 39, signed a contract until June 30, 2026, with an option to extend for an additional season until June 30, 2027.
This contract comes after Modric, the 2018 Ballon d'Or winner, ended his association with Real Madrid, having participated in the team's final matches at the 2025 Club World Cup in the United States.
This concludes a 13-year career during which he won 26 titles, setting a record as the most-winning player in the history of the Spanish club.
