Ramallah: The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the city of Tulkarm and its camp for the 169th consecutive day, and for the 156th day against the Nur Shams camp, amid an unprecedented escalation in demolitions and bulldozing operations that have affected dozens of homes and residential facilities.
The Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA) said that heavy Israeli bulldozers continued their demolition operations in Tulkarm camp this morning at a high pace, targeting more residential buildings, as part of a new plan that includes the demolition of 104 buildings containing about 400 homes. This is a continuation of the series of demolitions that have affected several neighborhoods in the camp over the past few days, specifically Al Murabba, Abu Al Foul, and Al Shuhada, and led to the loss of thousands of homes for families.
In a related context, the Nur Shams camp has witnessed a military escalation amidst the aggression and tight siege imposed by the occupation forces, accompanied by the deliberate burning of homes and the setting of fires inside them, particularly in Jabal Al Nasr.
Last week, the occupation authorities announced their intention to begin implementing large-scale demolition orders in Tulkarm camp, flouting an earlier Israeli Supreme Court decision to freeze these orders. In recent weeks, the Nur Shams camp has also been subjected to extensive demolitions, affecting dozens of residential buildings.
