Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a cable of greetings to Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, on the occasion of his winning the presidential elections in the Republic of Mali. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a greetings cable to Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.
Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a cable to King William Alexander of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in which the Emir expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy on the death of Prince Johan Friso. The Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani also sent a cable of condolences to King William Alexander.
DOHA: The Embassy of India will be closed tomorrow on the occasion of India’s 67th Independence Day, a press release issued by the mission said yesterday. However, the Independence Day will be celebrated at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) tomorrow with a flag-hoisting ceremony.
Celebrations will be held at 7am at the ICC, Street No. 916, Wahb Bin Omair, Al Mamoura. Ambassador Sanjiv Arora will read out President Pranab Mukherjee’s message. The national anthem and patriotic songs will be rendered by students of Indian schools. All Indians in Qatar are invited to join the celebrations, the release said.
DOHA: The 67th Independence Day of Pakistan will be celebrated at their embassy today. A flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at 7am by the Ambassador Syed Hassan Raza, a press release issued by the embassy said yesterday.
The mission invited all Pakistanis in Qatar to join the celebrations.
