Rest Upon the Wind, a play inspired by the life of Khalil Gibran, is being staged at Katara Drama Theatre. The story revolves around Gibran’s struggle to deliver a message of love and peace to his fellow human beings, as he did in ‘The Prophet’.
The play also celebrates Arab family warmth and sense of humour through the relationship between Gibran and his sister Myrianna as they struggle to adapt to life in America.
Gibran, a Lebanese American artist, poet and writer, is the third best-selling poet of all time, behind Shakespeare and Lao-Tzu.
The last show of the play will be staged today.
