MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman will host on the forthcoming deliberations on Tuesday of the second meeting of the GCC Working Group designated to prepare for the ITU World Communication Conference 2015 (WRC-15).
The meeting will be held at the Crowne Plaza Resort in Salalah and lasts for three days.
The meeting will be organized by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) for the second year in a raw.
As it will be held under the umbrella of the Telecommunications Bureau of the Secretariat General of the GCC countries and involves many experts and professionals that are specialized in the GCC Radio Communication Sector.
In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), Eng. Yousef bin Abdullah al-Balushi, TRA's Executive Manager, Spectrum Management Unit, the Chair of GCC Working Group, said: "This meeting is a continuation for the first meeting of the GCC Working Group that was held in Salalah last year, which has a significant importance in unifying the perspectives of the GCC countries with respect to the agenda of the ITU World Radio communication Conference 2015 and preparing GCC papers for regional and international meetings.
The meeting is also important to follow up developments related to the Conference agenda items of the Study Groups of the ITU Radio Sector". (QNA)
