Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center hosted 30 orphaned children participating in the “Rofaqaa” (companions) branch of the Sheikh Jassim Bin Mohammed Al Thani Holy Quran Competition.
The children were accompanied by ten programme supervisors during the visit, which featured an introduction to the Center, its services, and its diverse programmes. The programme began with the screening of an introductory documentary about the Center, followed by an inspiring session on the calling to Islam (Dawah), its vital importance in individuals’ lives, and real-life stories from the experiences of Islamic callers.
Accompanying translators provided live translation into the native languages of the attending children.
Following this, a fun-filled recreational segment was organised for the children. They then took a tour of the Center’s Cultural Exhibition Hall and the Virtual Reality (VR) Experience Hall.
Towards the end of the visit, the students were presented with gifts, including their names beautifully written in Arabic calligraphy, which brought immense joy to them. They were also provided with educational booklets.
The students highly engaged with all activities of the visit, expressing their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.
