ISLAMABAD: Senior police officer Nisar Mengal, was gunned down on Monday in Balochistan’s restive town Khuzdar, it was reported today.
Officials stated that the Mengal was targeted in Double Road area, where unidentified armed men on motorbikes intercepted his car and fired bullets at him while he was on his way to the local police station.
The officer died on the spot of multiple bullet wounds on his body.
Policemen are a frequent target of miscreants across Balochistan, especially in the provincial capital of Quetta, SAMAA reported. (QNA)
