Dushanbe: President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met today with Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry HE Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, along with the accompanying delegation currently visiting Tajikistan.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the excellent bilateral cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Tajikistan, and ways to enhance and develop it across various fields, particularly in the economic, trade, and investment sectors, in addition to matters of mutual interest.
HE the Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs also participated in the International Investment Forum "Dushanbe Invest-2025," held under the theme "Green Investments: Today’s Opportunities for a Sustainable Future."
The forum aimed to showcase green investment opportunities in Tajikistan, attract foreign direct investment, and exchange expertise on modern investment trends while creating opportunities to advance the digital economy.
On the sidelines of the forum, His Excellency met with HE Sulton Rahimzoda, Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The two sides signed a protocol amending the agreement signed on Aug. 25, 2011, between Qatar and Tajikistan to promote and protect investment.
