Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality, represented by its Agricultural Research Department, will organise a field day on scientific methods for preparing and planting vegetables, with a focus on early disease prevention and improving agricultural productivity.
The event will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 8am at the Horticulture and Protected Agriculture Research Station in Al Utouriya.
The field day aims to familiarise participants with proper land preparation and vegetable planting techniques, along with key preventive practices that help protect crops from diseases and improve production efficiency.
The programme will highlight scientifically based agricultural practices designed to support crop health and promote more efficient vegetable cultivation.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of adopting appropriate preparation and planting methods from the early stages of cultivation. Applying sound agricultural practices can help reduce the risk of crop diseases, support healthy plant growth and contribute to better use of available agricultural resources.
Early preventive measures are an important part of crop management, helping farmers identify potential risks and take appropriate steps to protect plants before diseases spread. The adoption of suitable cultivation techniques also supports more consistent production and helps improve the overall efficiency of farming operations.
