The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Administration of Private Schools and Kindergartens and the School Licensing Administration, honored 63 private schools and kindergartens that received the cup at the third and highest level of the "My Right is White" Award, which is granted to private schools that have maintained records free of violations and official warnings for three consecutive years of commitment and excellence.
Dr. Rania Yousry Mohamed, Director of the Administration of Private Schools and Kindergartens and Acting Director of the School Licensing Administration at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, affirmed in a speech during the ceremony that the ministry's celebration of the third edition of the "My Right is White" Award marks the completion of the first cycle and the crowning of the first batch of private schools and kindergartens with the award cup, including 63 institutions that received the cup, 45 institutions that earned the shield, in addition to 99 institutions that received certificates of thanks and appreciation.
She explained that the number of honored private educational institutions this year increased to reflect the growing institutional awareness, reaching 207 schools and kindergartens (comprising 126 schools and 81 kindergartens), compared to 166 institutions last year.
She added that the launch of the award came to serve as an incentive for institutional excellence and as recognition for schools and kindergartens that make respect for laws and regulations an integral part of their daily culture, translating this commitment into a safe and stable educational environment, a positive relationship with parents, and responsible cooperation with the ministry.
Dr. Rania Yousry Mohamed pointed out that the award is based on clear standards, foremost among them the absence of violations or warnings in the school or kindergarten’s record during the academic year, and the lack of substantiated complaints against it, in addition to accuracy in dealings, responsiveness, and the quality of the relationship with families.
She explained that the award levels are designed to reflect sustained commitment, starting with a certificate of thanks and appreciation in the first year, followed by the “White Right” shield in the second year, and reaching the trophy in the third year upon continued fulfillment of the criteria.
She pointed out that the increase in the number of honored institutions this year was achieved despite the tightening of eligibility criteria and the inclusion of warnings related to licenses within the award standards, which indicates the seriousness of schools and kindergartens in developing their practices and fulfilling the regulatory requirements of their work.
She concluded her speech by emphasizing that this progress reflects the fruit of the ongoing partnership between the Ministry and the educational field, based on clear expectations, support, and follow-up to ensure a learning environment worthy of the community's trust, extending thanks and appreciation to license holders, school leaders, administrative and educational teams, and Ministry working committees for their efforts in consolidating commitment and implementing the standards.
The "White Right" Award comes within the framework of the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education to raise the level of administrative and educational awareness, and to encourage private schools and kindergartens to operate according to the highest standards of quality, transparency, and governance.
