DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning will provide plots to workshops and garages in the Industrial Area. All applicants — companies and individual shop-owners — who have applied online, have been asked to visit the ministry’s service section in the area, along with their valid documents, the website of the local Arabic daily Al Sharq reported yesterday. Applicants are required to carry original Commercial Registration Certificate and Commercial Licence. The concerned committee will review their applications.
Two more public parks
DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has opened 36 public parks over the past three years. Work on 38 parks started in 2010, Al Sharq reported yesterday, quoting Mohamed Al Khouri, Director of the Public Parks Department. The remaining parks will be opened soon, he added. He said the ministry had taken stern action against contractors who had delayed work on three public parks in Umm Salal and Al Sakhama. They have now vowed to complete work soon.
