Premier holds talks with Singapore PM

Singapore: Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday held a round of talks with Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and means of enhancing and boosting them, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The session was attended members of the official accompanying delegation and  a number of Singaporean ministers.

A red-carpet reception was accorded to the Qatari Premier on his arrival.

The Prime Minister met yesterday at Istana Presidential Palace with the Emeritus Senior Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong. Earlier yesterday the Prime Minister attended a luncheon banquet hosted by Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean in honour of the Premier and his delegation.

Later the Prime Minister and Interior Minister attended a dinner banquet hosted by Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong-held in honour of the visiting premier and his official delegation. The banquet was attended by Teo Chee Hean, who is also coordinating minister for national security and minister for home affairs. A number of Singaporean ministers and senior officials were present as well. 

The Prime Minister and Interior Minister also met Acting President of Singapore J Y Pillay.
