DOHA: British sporting stars Alan Shearer and Lennox Lewis will be attending Aspire4Sport at Aspire Academy in Doha this weekend along with NBA legend Dennis Rodman.
Lewis and Shearer will take part in the Stars Chat session, starting at 6pm on Saturday, November 16.
Rodman will be joined by another NBA legend Alonzo Mourning.
Rodman is considered one of the best defensive players of all time and won five NBA championships during a hall-of-fame career.
Mourning was a seven-time NBA all-star who returned to the court following a kidney transplant to win an NBA Championship in 2006 with the Miami Heat.
Shearer is the all-time goal-scorer in the English Premier League (EPL) with a goal tally of 260 goals. The former Newcastle and England striker retired from football in 2006.
Former British heavyweight champion Lewis is a gold medallist at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games, representing Canada. Nicknamed ‘The Lion’, Lewis went on to become an undisputed world heavyweight champion before retiring from the game in 2004.
Along with the four stars, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and Qatari rally car stars Saeed Alhajri and Abdulaziz Al Kuwari will also be talking in the Stars Chat sessions.
Hamad Saif Buhindi, Executive Director of Aspire4Sport said: “We are excited to confirm the full list of sports stars that will participate in Aspire4Sport. The Star Chats sessions are a great opportunity for the public to hear directly from these athletes.”
Aspire4Sport also confirmed that one of the exhibitors, Paris St.Germain Football Club, will extend their participation in the event by holding coaching clinics in cooperation with Aspire Academy.
Coaches from the club will join Aspire Academy coaches to give some sessions to the Aspire football players and feeder groups.
Aspire4Sport conference and exhibition is taking place at Aspire Dome from November 16-19.
