Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received yesterday a telephone call from the Hamas Gaza Prime Minister, Ismail Haniyah. They reviewed the situation in Palestine.
Algiers: Algeria’s Commander of National Gendarmerie, Ahmed Boustaila, met the Qatari Ambassador, Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al Sahlawi, and discussed ways of developing relations.
Doha: Qatar condemned the execution of the Assistant Secretary-General of Jamaat-e-Islami Party in Bangladesh, Abdul Kader Mollah, an official source at the Foreign Ministry said yesterday.
In a statement, the source said Qatar was concerned over the possibility of rising tensions in Bangladesh.
