DOHA: The Pinoy Basketball of Qatar (PIBAQ), the foremost Filipino basketball league in Qatar, formally opened its 19th Men’s Basketball Cup on Friday packed with a renewed commitment for a much exciting season for all the avid aficionados of this popular sport in their community at home and abroad.
All the 26 teams from different four divisions along with their hundreds of supporters came in full force to jam-pack the Al Gharafa Training Gym to have their presence felt with a sense of pride and honour to be part of this highly competitive tournament this season.
Pat Carido, PIBAQ chairman, has made good to their commitment to make the new season a much bigger edition with new formats to make each team get an equal chance to play exuded with deep passion and fair competition especially that the ball club is celebrating this year its decade of fruitful anniversary.
