GAZA:: The Egyptian authorities allowed the passage of 45 trucks carrying Qatari construction materials into Gaza strip through the Rafah crossing.
The trucks passed to Gaza on Monday and were carrying 1100 cubic meters of gravel that will be used for construction work and building roads.
Palestinian sources said that the Egyptian authorities had allowed the passage of 477 Qatari trucks into Gaza in the past two weeks. The trucks carried a total of 11,395 cubic meters of gravel according to the Palestinian sources.
Egypt will follow the passage of gravel with allowing cement and steel into Gaza as work on the Qatari initiative for rebuilding Gaza continues.
Meanwhile security sources said that the Qatari construction materials will pass daily through the Rafah crossing into Gaza for the next two years. (QNA)
