Following an impressive performance throughout 2011, Alfardan Automobiles has succesfully concluded the year 2012 with growth across both the BMW and MINI brands in Qatar.
BMW 7 Series was the company’s bestselling model in 2012. Other top performing BMW models included the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle with 37 percent growth and BMW 5 Series with 15 percent growth.
Commenting on the impressive performance of 2012, Mohammed Kandeel, General Manager, Alfardan Automobiles, said: “Our strategies, planning, employing the best people and ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfaction have clearly paid off as shown by these remarkable results. This was combined with the launch of six beautifully-designed and technologically-advanced new models during 2012 which helped drive our sales growth upward.”
MINI recorded another year of exceptional sales with 31 percent increase over 2011. This is one of the most successful years in the brand’s history in terms of Qatari sales and an impressive result when operating in a market that predominantly favours large, luxury cars.
MINI sales were led by the MINI Countryman – the first MINI with four doors and four-wheel drive capabilities. The newly launched MINI Coupé and MINI Roadster were also a strong contributing factor to the brand’s 2012 success in Qatar.
Looking to the future, Kandeel added: “It has been a great 12 months and we are confident that 2013 will be another successful year for BMW Group in Qatar. We remain committed to continue investing in our facilities, customer service as well as launching new and exciting models in the year ahead.”
