Mouawad, the luxury jeweller and watchmaker, officially opened the doors of its newest flagship boutique at Lagoona Mall. The new showroom is the first new generation Mouawad boutique to open in the country.
Commenting on the opening, Pascal Mouawad, co-guardian of the brand and part of the fourth generation of the family running the business, said: “I am very excited to be here today to celebrate the opening of Mouawad’s first boutique in Qatar. We have made another important step to get closer to our clientele in the region; our local customers will now be able to admire and purchase our jewellery and watch collections at a time and location to suit their needs.”
The new showroom, located on the first floor in the new luxurious retail destination, Lagoona Mall, covers 272 square metres and has been designed according to Mouawad’s new generation store concept, formulated by brothers Fred and Pascal Mouawad. The new look and feel was launched back in 2010 with the opening of the first new generation boutique at The Dubai Mall, and reflects the enhanced direction and strategy of the brand.
With the distinctive décor in grey and gold of the Mouawad brand, the new Qatar outlet features an exclusive private VIP rooms for customers to try on select pieces from the exquisite jewellery and watch collections for which the company is renowned. The boutique sparkles with signature Mouawad haute joaillerie sets, boutique collections, watch collections and objets d’art, all entirely designed and produced by Mouawad.
“We are fondly bound to this country as it has played a significant role in the company’s history; during the last two editions of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition, we unveiled two of our most incredible and unique creations: Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse and the Snow White Princess Diamond Watch. Next month, we will attend the 2013 edition, and we will once again surprise all the visitors with another incredible unveiling,” added Pascal Mouawad.
Since its inception 122 years ago, the family business has grown, expanding its presence abroad; Mouawad now owns more than 15 retail outlets across the globe, of which eight are located in the GCC countries.
Visitors to the Mouawad Lagoona Mall boutique will be enchanted by the Mouawad repertoire, including its latest collection Papillon and Oriana.
