Doha: The Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee met yesterday a delegation of Swedish energy companies to discuss issues related to Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup.
Director of International Relations Ahmad Nimeh headed a delegation of Qatar 2022 representatives, while the Swedish delegation was led by Director General of Swedish Energy Agency Erik Brandsma. The delegation consisted of officials from 10 companies specialised in clean technology. The committee had meetings with leading companies in the field of renewable and sustainable energy to limit the carbon print of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
It had also signed agreements with its local partners to ensure that the 2022 World Cup is successful. It also signed agreements with local partners to contribute to realising the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
