CAT 2013 results declared

New Delhi: Eight students with engineering background have scored 100 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) results declared yesterday for admission to top B-schools, an official said. “The eight are all boys with an engineering background,” CAT convenor Rohit Kapoor said. There are 10 who have scored 99.99 percentile, one of whom is a girl. “The CAT results will be available for access until December 31, 2014 on the CAT website and the candidates are advised to retain a printed copy of their score card,” added Kapoor. A total of 1,74,000 sat for CAT, conducted at 76 test centres across 40 cities over a 20-day testing window from October 16 to November 11, 2013. Candidates sit for the CAT to enter the 13 Indian Institutes of Management, the Faculty of Management Studies and a few other institutions.
Suchitra Sen on oxygen therapy 

Kolkata: Described as “critically ill”, legendary Bengali actress Suchitra Sen, who is suffering from serious respiratory problems, remains on oxygen therapy, a medical bulletin said. Her oxygen saturation level is satisfactory and cardiac status remains stable. “She is conscious and slowly communicating. Her feeding continues through feeding tube. Although still critically ill, her condition has not deteriorated over last 24 hours,” claimed the latest report released by the Belle Vue Clinic where she is kept in the Intensive Therapy Unit. 
Tiger kills three

NEW DELHI: A wild tiger has killed three people in southern India this month, forcing dozens of schools and a tourist resort in the area to shut down. The tiger killed a woman working on a tea plantation in Tamil Nadu last week, the animal’s third victim since January 4. After the latest incident, the Tamil Nadu government closed 45 schools in Nilgiris district and a resort on Doddabetta hill.
