DOHA: Ooredoo Group’s Global Talent Mobility Program has been voted as the best in the technology and media sector for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA) at the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs) in London.
In 2013, the programme underwent a major transformation, enabling the delivery of talent deployment strategies and solutions to accelerate corporate initiatives and tackle business challenges.
“Ooredoo is a truly global company today, and a major part of our successful transformation has been our investment in our team.
“By providing our employees with resources to transfer across our footprint, we have enriched their career development and ensured that our operations have access to the experience they need,” said Mohanna Al Nuaimi, Chief Human Resource Officer, Ooredoo Group. With operations in the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia, Ooredoo has benefited by investing in mobility, enabling business leaders to tap into the group’s employee pool and accelerate the deployment of functional and technical experts to transfer knowledge and build local capabilities. Employees have also benefited, gaining experience in new markets, while receiving support from the company.
The best mobility programme in technology and media award recognises how an in-house mobile team has delivered the best services within the industry.
The winning categories were chosen by a panel comprising some of the most highly-regarded names in global mobility industry.
Ooredoo won the recognition against strong competition from leading multinational organisations. “Ooredoo demonstrated an incredible, passionate and dedicated journey in creating a global function backed by strong evidence of achievements and benefits to the company,” the judges said. EMMAs have become one of the most prestigious awards event of the mobility industry calendar.
In its eighth year, the awards attracted more entries and higher profile attendance than before.
