Doha: Youth Forum, Qatar launched the CARE Toastmasters Club on January 10. The event themed as ‘Elevate Your Life, Master Your Destiny’ witnessed a good turnout of members and Toastmasters.
It was headed by the CARE Toastmasters Club President Shabir Hameed, Toastmasters District leaders, Division-G Director TM Salman Hilmi, Area 28 Director TM Habeeb K and multiple esteemed dignitaries.
Sergeant-at-Arms, TM Safeer Akram kick-started the meeting. In his opening address, Area Director TM Habeeb explained about Toastmasters as an organisation and shared his experience on how Toastmasters helped to build and reinforce public speaking skills in scores of people.
DTM Manzoor Moideen, Immediate Past District Director of District 116, Qatar, was the Toastmaster Of The Day. The first speaker, TM Ajmal Khalid, delivered his ice-breaker speech titled ‘My Journey to Toastmaster’ and shared his experience on how perseverance can find victory.
The second speaker, TM Shabir Hameed, delivered a humorous speech titled ‘True Love’. The Table Topics Master DTM Alarmel Mangai conducted impromptu table Topics speech session with well curated topics and a lot of entertaining subjects for the guests.
DTM Mou Bera conducted the General Evaluation session and gave feedback through her years of experience as a Toastmaster, which motivated the speakers as well as the new members. She was aided by TM Luthfi Kakkar and TM Sampath S who are well experienced in evaluating speakers.
Division G Director TM Salman Hilmi conducted the Induction Ceremony of the newly appointed Executive Committee members. The newly inducted Executive Committee comprises of TM Shabir Hameed as President, TM Sanood Abdu as VP-Education, TM Ajmal Khalid as VP Membership, TM Mohammed Ishaque as VP-Public Relations, TM Najeeb Thari as Club Secretary, TM Shanavas as Club Treasurer and TM Safeer Akram as Sergeant-At-Arms.
Aslam Eratupetta, Vice President of Youth Forum Qatar and Adil CMA, Youth Forum CARE director gave their facilitation speeches in the meeting.
