DOHA: The state-backed Shafallah Centre, which provides specialist education and healthcare to children with special needs, has given marching orders to 17 more employees who include Qataris as well.
Many of the dismissed staffers were long-term employees. The Centre sacked 13 staffers last September citing lack of proper papers required for their jobs. The Centre has some 850 employees.
For the latest dismissals the Centre has not cited any convincing reasons, reports Al Sharq quoting some aggrieved staffers. The dismissals have been ordered with effect from January 17, according to the daily.
