Gardeners group promoting organic farming Our Kitchen Garden Doha [Nammude Adukkalathottam Doha (NAD)] will be organising a harvest festival on Friday, February 17, 2023.
The ninth season of the festival to be held at DPS Monarch International School - Wukair will also feature a musical extravaganza by Indian playback singer Mridula Warrier.
NAD president Benny Thomas said that a variety of organic vegetables grown by Qatar-based kitchen gardeners will be sold at the venue. "Every year NAD organises two festivals. One of them is at the beginning of the gardening season when we meet and distribute seeds and the second one is the harvest festival when the produce are sold."
Apart from this visitors will also be able to tickle their taste buds with a variety of Indian delicacies at the various food stalls.
