Doha, Qatar: In celebration of Indian Republic Day, the 33rd Blood Donation Camp organized by Thrissur Jilla Sauhrida Vedi (TJSV) took place successfully on Friday, February 12, 2026, from 7am to 3:30pm at the Qatar National Blood Donation Center.
Approximately 660 individuals, including TJSV members, their families, friends, and community members from various regions and languages, registered for the camp. Out of these, 411 individuals donated blood. The commendable humanitarian efforts of TJSV reflect its strong commitment to social service.

The official inauguration ceremony commenced at 10am with a silent prayer for global peace. Following an introductory speech by TJSV Secretary RK Rafi, General Secretary Sharaf Mohamed presented the welcome address. The event was presided over by President Vishnu Jayaram Dev. ICC President and Advisory Committee Member AP Manikandan officially inaugurated the camp, emphasizing the significance of blood donation and commending the noble service activities of Sauhrida Vedi.
Greetings and congratulations were extended by TJSV Advisory Board Chairman VS Narayanan, ICC General Secretary Abraham Joseph, TJSV Treasurer Thomas Ouseph, General Coordinator Mohammed Musthafa, Women’s Wing Chairperson Rekha Pramod, and HMC Blood Donation Camp In-Charge Mohammed Razal.

The event was also attended by TJSV Family Security Scheme Vice Chairman Sudhan Prince, Karunyam Scheme Chairman Kunjumoidu, Camp Sector Coordinators Shakeer (Nattika) and Shoukath (Manalur), Ladies Wing Coordinators Faseela Nawaz and Ramshida Badrudheen, along with Women’s Wing Executive Members. The official ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Camp Chief Coordinator Nisham Ismail.
After the inauguration, the leaders of TJSV visited and interacted with the blood donors, uplifting the spirits of both volunteers and donors. The camp was executed seamlessly, thanks to the organized coordination and dedicated efforts of the volunteers, including female members. Certificates were awarded to all blood donors.
The authorities at Hamad Hospital expressed special appreciation for the Blood Donation Committee, Executive Council Members, Women’s Wing members, and volunteers who facilitated the camp. The President of Sauhrida Vedi received a special service recognition from HMC Blood Donation Center In-Charge Mohammed Razal and addressed the volunteers, marking the successful conclusion of the 33rd Blood Donation Camp.
The Blood Donation Committee declared the 2026 camp a resounding success and promised ongoing support by mobilizing additional donors as needed. Heartfelt gratitude was conveyed to the staff of Hamad Hospital, all supporters, and especially the blood donors for their invaluable contributions.
