DOHA: Students from the US and Qatar attended workshops at Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) and the Host Art and Planting event as part of a Unique Cultural Exchange Trip to Qatar.
On behalf of Qatar Foundation International (QFI), a Washington, DC-based non-profit member of QF, dedicated to connecting cultures and advancing global citizenship through education, we would like to invite you to a special student service learning event as part of a unique educational and cultural immersion exchange trip in Qatar, called Aber.
Aber is an annual educational exchange that stems out of QFI’s Arabic Language and Culture Programme, which aims to expand the study of Arabic language and culture among public school students in the US, Brazil and other countries.
Aber takes on a different theme each year but with the same goal of expressing one’s identity and culture through Arabic language.
This year’s trip, which includes 60 US and Qatari students and 10 US and Qatari teachers, will centre on the theme of art. Events include a community service project ‘Deliver Flowers to Residential Compound’ calligraphy and geometry workshops at MIA and desert safari with US students.
