Brussels: Qatari Ambassador to Belgium Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani yesterday said his country’s relations with Belgium will expand in all fields in the future.
Sheikh Ali was speaking during a luncheon banquet hosted in honour of Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders. The envoy expressed satisfaction with the first round of talks between Qatar and Belgium in Doha on February 17.
Qatar attends UN conference
Doha: Qatar is taking part in the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, hosted by Sendai City, Japan, with participation of heads of state and government officials from more than 168 countries. Qatar’s delegation is headed by Major General Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi, Director-General, Public Security, and Chairman, Standing Committee for Emergency. QNA
