Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a telephone call on Sunday from HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the call, the Egyptian President reiterated his country's condemnation of the continued blatant attacks against the State of Qatar, affirming the Arab Republic of Egypt's full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its support in confronting any threats to its security and sovereignty. He emphasized Egypt's readiness to provide all forms of support and assistance.
The Egyptian President stressed the importance of intensifying efforts during this current phase and strengthening joint Arab action to consolidate security and stability in the region.
For his part, His Highness the Amir expressed his appreciation for the positions of the Arab Republic of Egypt, affirming the State of Qatar's commitment to continuing coordination and exchanging views on matters that serve the interests of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
The call also included a review of the latest events, developments, and emerging issues in the region, in light of the current escalation, as well as the efforts being made to reduce tensions and contain the crisis, in order to preserve regional security and stability and prevent the conflict from spreading further.
