DOHA: Hamad bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation (QF) for Education, Science and Community Development, entered into an agreement with Qatar Career Fair (QCF) recently to enhance efforts in the fields of academic and career guidance.
The agreement was signed by Dr Khalid Al Khanji, Vice President of Student Affairs at HBKU and Abdulla Al Mansoori, Executive Director of QCF.
HBKU plans and executes various events aimed at prospective students in Qatar and the region to provide them with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to successfully pursue their academic and professional goals.
QCF, also a member of Qatar Foundation, is not only responsible for organising the annual Fair, but also aims at developing and implementing a number of programs and initiatives to consolidate the career culture among students and graduates.
The agreement will allow HBKU and QCF to support and advance each other’s efforts, both nationally and internationally, through diverse forms of cooperation ranging from advisory and consultancy, such as sharing of expertise in planning, organizing, promoting, implementing and evaluating training and development opportunities.
“We are proud to sign this MOU and privileged to be able to partner with Qatar Career Fair in their quest for career awareness,” said Dr Al Khanji. Also commenting on the agreement, Abdulla Al Mansoori said, “QCF is a career-building platform that aims to connect Qatari students, job seekers, employers and other constituents in an effort to create a dynamic national workforce for the future of Qatar.” The Peninsula
