Khartoum: Explosions and gunfire were heard as clashes were reported between the armed forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sports City in Khartoum and Meroe in northern Sudan.
No statement has been issued by the army or the Rapid Support Forces so far regarding the military, security and political developments in the country. The clashes reportedly reached near the headquarters of the armed forces general command and the presidential palace. Traffic has been disrupted in Khartoum state.
