KABUL: A heavy explosion rocked Jalalabad city in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan early Wednesday morning, injuring at least nine people including Afghan security forces.
The incident took place near Sherzai stadium targeting Afghan national police forces, according to Afghan (Khaama Press).
Head of the central hospital for Jalalabad city, Dr. Humayoon Zaheer confirming the report said all those injured during the explosion were taken to the hospital.
He said at least three Afghan civilians and six Afghan police officers were injured during the incident.
No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident. (QNA)
