Doha: RasGas Project for Highway Patrols was signed yesterday in the presence of the Minister of State for Interior Affairs and president of National Traffic Safety Committee (NTSC) H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada.
Director General of Public Security Staff Maj Gen H E Saad bin Jassim Al Khulaifi and CEO of RasGas Hamad Al Muhannadi signed the agreement.
The project aims at support and cooperation between the NTSC and RasGas to contribute in reducing traffic accidents in the country and lessening the ratio of deaths caused by traffic accidents from 14 for every 100,000 person to 10 for every 100,000 person.
