Seoul: South Korea has announced a number of measures to help companies win overseas orders in several countries, as part of its efforts to revive the growth of the economy amid the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The government will do everything in its power to achieve the goal of winning USD 30 billion in overseas project this year, despite the COVID-19 crisis, Hong explained.

The government has also decided to run a USD 15 trillion worth financial support program in order to get more overseas orders, and it will set up total funds of 3.7 trillion won (USD 3.07 billion) to aid local firms in winning overseas orders, Hong added.

The government has not revealed the names of the overseas projects, but the industrial sector expects to include anticipated projects in Bangladesh, Myanmar and other countries. (QNA)
