DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has recalled the 2013 models of Toyota FJ Cruiser due to a defect in the steering column.
The Ministry said in a statement that the move comes within its efforts to make sure that car dealers comply with regulations concerning maintenance of vehicles and fixing of defects as well as within its endeavors to protect consumer rights.
It added that it will coordinate with the distributor of Toyota cars on the maintenance and fixing of the defect, reports QNA.
The Ministry urged all consumers to report any irregularities by communicating with the Consumer Protection Department, which receives complaints, suggestions and inquiries through its channels of communication.
