Qatar customs foil attempt to smuggle prohibited tobacco

Maritime Customs in Hamad Port thwarted an attempt to smuggle a huge quantity of prohibited tobacco.

Customs announced that the 2,738 kg of tobacco was found hidden in pomegranate boxes.

The authority has been issuing a continuous warning to those attempting to carry illegal substances into the country. Customs officials in the country are provided all means of support including developed means of systems and continuous training.
