ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), in collaboration with Rayyan Air, commenced its flight operations to Kashgar yesterday.
The flights PK-1855 and PK-1856 Islamabad-KashgarIslamabad will run every Wednesday using A310 aircraft having a capacity of 223 economy class seats and 15 tonnes of cargo.
The PIA was introducing the flight to Kashgar yesterday to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day.
The flight will not only generate revenue for the national carrier but also provide a new avenue to business and trade professionals in the two countries.
PIA Managing Director Muhammad Junaid Yunus said the national airline was trying to increase its revenue and curtail costs.
The PIA is already operating flights to Beijing every Thursday and Sunday
