Lekhwiya delegation participates in Egypt's Civil Protection Search and Rescue Team international classification ceremony

Doha, Qatar: A delegation from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), headed by Assistant Commander for Administration and Supply, Staff Brigadier Mubarak Sherida Al Kaabi participated in the ceremony announcing that the Search and Rescue Team affiliated with the General Directorate of Civil Protection at the Ministry of Interior in the sister Arab Republic of Egypt has achieved the international classification at the "Medium" level from the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG), affiliated with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

This achievement comes as a fruit of joint cooperation in the field of search and rescue, where the Qatari International Search and Rescue Group contributed in training and qualifying the Egyptian team according to adopted international standards.

The Qatari International Search and Rescue Group has become the first Arab international team to undertake the training and qualification of another Arab team until it obtains international classification.

The ceremony was attended by Assistant Egyptian Minister of Interior for the Civil Protection Sector Major General Amr Mustafa Beley, and a number of security leaders from both sides, alongside representatives from the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).
