Islamabad: Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to pay a three-day visit to Turkey starting tomorrow, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said an official press release. Sharif is set to meet Turkish President Abdullah Gul as well.
The two countries will sign several agreements during Sharif’s visit, and Turkey’s highest state award will be conferred upon the Pakistani premier.
Congo virus kills one
Islamabad: Another person infected with Congo virus died in Islamabad yesterday, bringing the total number of deaths to two. Three patients in critical conditions were transferred to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where one of them died on Friday.
The third patient is under treatment at PIMS.
No free parking at 200 sites
ISLAMABAD: Parking outside markets, weekly bazaars, bus stands and tourist spots will no more be free, as the civic agency of Islamabad has identified around 200 sites across the capital to be converted into paid car parks.
The Capital Development Authority is hoping to raise around Rs200m annually from the move.
