Andhra Pradesh holds first e-cabinet meet

Hyderabad: Ushering in paperless cabinet, Andhra Pradesh yesterday held e-cabinet meeting. Ipads and power point presentation replaced the papers as tech-savy Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu presided over the meeting, billed as the first such exercise by any state cabinet in the country. The e-cabinet meeting was held to mark 100 days of the Telugu Desam Party in power in the state. According to officials, the cabinet agenda was sent to the ministers in advance through e-mail. Naidu asked all ministers to come to the meet with Ipads. Naidu reviewed performance of his government during last 100 days aftet making a power-point presentation.


Kicked by wife, man critical after fall 


Ghaziabad: A Ghaziabad man suffered critical injuries after his wife kicked him and he fell from his house terrace yesterday. The incident occurred in the Vijay Nagar area. City police said around 12pm, Pooja (30) reached the terrace of her house where husband Amit was standing and talking on a mobile phone. The two had an altercation after which she scolded and kicked him on the back. As a result, Amit fell 12 feet to the ground. He was rushed to the government MMG Hospital with critical injuries. Police officer J R Joshi said: “The attending doctor said he is conscious and able to talk. He is out of danger.” He added: “We have called the wife but she has not turned up. It seems she is absconding. It is yet to be ascertained what was the reason behind her anger. The couple have three children.”
