Doha: Al Meera Consumer Goods Company warned consumers of a post circulating on social media platforms and on WhatsApp. Al Meera said that the post with link to a competition is a scam impersonating Al Meera and appropriate action has been taken.
On Twitter, Al Meera said: "The management of Al Meera would like to inform you that what is circulated on social media platforms and on the WhatsApp application about a competition and prizes offered by Al Meera via a link, is a scam impersonating Al Meera."
It also advised consumers to avoid clicking on the link.
Al Meera also affirmed that all its competitions are only being posted on its official pages.
